CULTURAL LIFE.....
- Greek is the main ethnicity. Other ethnicities include Macedonians, Turks, Albanians, Bulgarians, Armenians,Vlacs and Romas.
- Their language is Greek and it is one of the oldest Indo-European languages. Minority languages include Macedonian, Albanian and Turkish.
- Almost all of the population belongs to the Church of Greece or Greek Orthodox Church.
- Their national sport is soccer and basketball. Their basketball team won the European championship in 1987.
- A famous food eaten there is lamb prepared in many different ways. One special includes feta which is a cheese sheep's or goat milk. Other foods include all types of seafood.
- Athens Has Alot of schools and institution of higher learning. A well known school is the University of Athens. It has many schools including school law, medicine, philosophy, theology, mathematics ad the physical sciences.
